In principle we are ready. We only decied to wait till the offical open62541 release is out [1] and to get all the formal eclipse stuff completed. This may take us a few weeks. i wanted to write a news post about it but hadn't had the time yet. Our current plan is to make RC3 end of this week early next week and use the time for further testing and fixing of paper-cut bugs. In the meantime I can recommend to already use the RC2 and if you like add an update site where you can get nightly updates [2].

What I forgot: If you are testing 1.9.0 RC2 or later please activate automatic error reporting. This realy helps us to trace down rare problems and making 4diac much stabler. Just in the last week a fixed at least 6 issues we got informed about through the automatic error reporting mechanism.

No news, but in repository and Download section 1.9.0 has been released about 24 hours ago!

Thanks for the applause.

As this release is a rather big thing we are doing it in a "soft" release like way. So that we can test the individual steps. i did a pre-announcment yesterday on the mailing list [1]. Maybe with some interesting information for you about our experimental update site feature. News will go out later today.
