Dear all,

I have been working on a model for some weeks with Papyrus 3.2.0 on Eclipse 4.7.1a. This morning I wanted to start including some of the diagrams in a report but this version of Papyrus is unable to export diagrams as images (Bug 529966).

Is there any way to circumvent this bug? What other options are there to obtain images (SVG, PDF, PNG, etc) from a diagram developed with Papyrus 3.2.0?

Thank you.

Hi Luis,

Diagram export works best when the exported Diagrams are already opened in Papyrus, as all services related to the Editor (Which should in theory be optional) will be properly initialized. This has two benefits: 1) reducing the risk of exceptions when anything tries to access one of these optional services and 2) improving the rendering accuracy, as the export will be based exactly on what you see on screen.

If you have too many diagrams to open them all before exporting, you should at least try to open the editor that contains these diagrams, to initialize all services.

HTH,
Camille

Hi

For tools whose export capabilities are inadequate, I often resort to using screen capture.

e.g. the free "C:\Program Files (x86)\HTML Help Workshop\flash.exe"

Hi there Camille, thank you for your reply. I only have three diagrams in this particular model, if I open all of them Papyrus manages to export the one presently portrayed and fails with the other two. This means I am eventually able to export all diagrams, portraying them one by one.

Cheers.

Thank you Ed for the message. Screen capture is not option due to Bug 529714 and Bug 529628.

Not sure what you mean by this, but I do not use Eclipse with Wine or any programme of the sort. I would go as far as advising against such set up.

Regards.
