Hi,

some days ago I encountered a problem with my copy of Eclipse: it's extreme slow (unusable)

My environment: ubuntu 16.04, Eclipse Kepler

top shows me that java is running with 300 to 370% of CPU-usage (AMD A10, 4-core).

The log-file tells me:
Quote:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.core.jobs 4 2 2018-01-05 18:22:52.931
!MESSAGE An internal error occurred during: "Update Monitor".

The eclipse.ini contained these values:
# geƤndert
#-Xms40m
#-Xmx384m
-Xms1024m
-Xmx4096m

I've changed the entries in /etc and /opt/eclipse.

The effect happens with both values.

What can I do?
