xml validation occurs by default in Eclipse neon [message #1777557]

xml validation occurs by default in Eclipse neon.
In Eclipse mars , xml validation is triggered when 'validate' is chosen on an xml file.
But in neon , xml validation is triggered everytime eclipse restarts.
Is there anyway to restrict the default validation behavior in eclipse with out disabling the xml validator?

Is there a reason not to use the current version, and is there anything unusual about where your workspace or project are, on disk?

Thank you very much for your response.

A particular version of our product is certified on eclipse neon.
Hence I am looking for an option to restrict the default xml validation behavior in eclipse neon(similar to mars) with out disabling the xml validator.

Any tips to achieve this?
