I'm trying to make a reporting with Cascading Parameters with a Scripted Data Source backing them. When I run the report it asks for the parameters before making the queries.

I think there's a way to do this, Jason Weathersby make an example once, but it seems to have been taken down. Google "birt cascading parameter scripted" and search inside for "Another example using a scripted data source is available"

Can anyone share the example or tell me why the parameters are getting requested before the data source is used?
