"Xtext validation" task causing Eclipse to collapse [message #1771415] Thu, 24 August 2017 16:48 Go to next message

Hi,

is there anyway to disable the "Xtext validation" recurrent task?

My grammar is about 1500 lines long and Eclipse can't just handle it. It can get frozen for literally hours.

Thanks.

1500 lines are not unusual for files Xtext can handle with ease, although it is quite unusual for language grammars. As Christian said, use a profiler to determine where exactly performance is degraded. Or share your grammar so that it could be reproduced.
