Gray out disabled menus under Linux [message #1769235] Fri, 28 July 2017 02:47

Hi!

We are developing an Eclipse e4 RCP application under Linux and need to disable whole menus (not individiual items). This is working insofar that we can work around the e4 limitation of not being able to disable menus by disabling the SWT menu directly.

The only problem is that the disabled menus are not grayed out under Linux like they are under Windows:

index.php/fa/30166/0/

Plus there does not seem to be a way to set the foreground color or something similar on the menu. Is this not supported in SWT? Or is this handled by the window manager of the OS?
