Hello,

I want to install Oomph on my computer instead of starting installer exe file every time I want to install an Eclipse product. Is it possible? Previously I think it was possible... however with latest Oomph version I couldn't get it....

Regards,
Velizar

The installer creates an installation each time you use it. It create that installation where you specify it should be and you can continue to use it from that location.

When I start installer.exe file I cannot find any installation on my computer. I need to update Installer every time I start it because there is a new update available.

You can also use it without an update. Have you actually used the installer to create an installation? https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/eclipse-packages/?show_instructions=TRUE

You can also keep the installer permanently. When you switch to the advanced mode you should be asked whether you want that. Say yes and where you want to keep it. Is that what you are looking for?

Hello,

according to this tutorial
https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/eclipse-packages/?show_instructions=TRUE

on the last step there are three options available:
- launch
- show readme file
- keep installer

However when I reach the last step I have following options available (see attacvhed screenshot):
- launch
- show readme file
- open in system explorer

Thats why I'm asking you :)

Regards,
Velizar

For me it behaves the same way as you described.
Means, i can't keep it locally.
Do you already have a work around ?

I downloaded the latest installer from https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Installer and ran it. I used the menu to switch to Advanced Mode... and the popup dialog asks me if I want to keep the installer in a permanent location so that way certainly appears to work...
