Issue with performing updates after upgrading from Neon to Oxygen on Linux [message #1768346]

I upgraded my Eclipse Neon.3 to Oxygen. Since the upgrade when I attempt to do a software update, I get a dialog indicating problems with the config.ini, specifically the p2.profile and p2.data.area not being setup correctly.

The config.ini values for these are:

eclipse.p2.profile=file:/opt/eclipse-oxygen/eclipse
eclipse.p2.data.area=file:/home/wendell/.p2/

Any idea what might be occuring wrong here?

Hi Wendell,

I don't know the answer here. However, you may find better luck in one of the other Eclipse forums. Did you install with Eclipse Installer? If so, the Oomph forum https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/f/287/ is probably best. (It may even be best if you installed by unzipping as the issues are similar.)

Otherwise you can try https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/f/12/
