Hi, I used Eclipse a number of years ago for Android Developement but I uderstand it is no longer being supported.

Is Eclipse still ok to use for basic android developement?

Sorry to sound such a newbie, but that is really all I am.

Many Thanks,

This is very sad that Android is not oficially supported. I have created a project 2 or 3 years ago with Eclipse for a tablet running Android 4.4, and wanted to update the project for a Lenovo tablet running Android 6, but Android Studio builds only without errors when I choose OS version 26 and minimal OS version 23 and in the emulator it works but my tablet refuses to install. I think Google software is only good for Google devices but not for Lenovo.
