Neon 3 install on W10 Home: input not in XZ format...? [message #1764546] Wed, 31 May 2017 03:43 Go to next message

I have installed Neon 3 on two W10 machines with no problems, but on a third machine Neon 3 refuses to install. All I get is an error saying: "org.tukaani.xz.XZFormatException: Input is not in the XZ format". The only difference between this machine and the two others is that this machine runs W10 Home, while the other two have W10 Pro, all are 64-bit. Is this a known problem? Is there any workaround?

I can install Neon 2 on the W10 Home machine, but I really would want the exact same Eclipse version on all three machines.

It's Tuesday and the Eclipse download server tends to go bad on Tuesday because automatic update checking kicks in a 10:00AM in Europe killing the server. Maybe it will work better later in the day. Please report back.

OK, thanks...
But this was not a Tuesday thing. It happened on multiple tries, at least ten, over several days, and accessing the server (if that is what the installer does) from different locations, Sweden as well as Germany. Neon 2 was installed on that computer May 18 CET, and the tries with Neon 3 were done in that week and the week before that.

EDIT: That said... I just now tried it again and Neon 3 installed fine. Thanks.
