Hello,

I am trying to install eclipse neon 64-bit version on my 64-bit Windows 7 OS. After running the .exe file I am getting this Error " Java for Windows Missing"

I have already installed the latest version of Java (Java Development Kit 8 64 bit version). In control panel, I can see below-listed things.

1 Java 7 Update 55
2 Java 8 Update 131
3 Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 131.

The path of Java folder in Windows 7 OS is C:\Program Files (x86)\Java. Under Java folder below listed folders are present.

1 jdk1.8.0_131
2 jre1.8.0_131
3 jre7

One more thing I want to mention here is my windows is installed on the Virtual machine as I have Linux RHEL 6.8 OS.

Kindly suggest some solution as I am a new person who is learning Java and need to install the eclipse. Thanks in advance.

You have installed 32 bit jre/jdk's. You need to install 64 bit jre/jdk to run the 64 bit Eclipse.
