I have installed in Win10, Eclipse Neon.3 and used MSP430 toolchain available via eclipse.xpg.dk. I had to use the MSP430.DLL from my latest CCS tools copied over to MSP tool chain bin directory to get the debug download to work. I can view the code in the debug perspective, step, and run the code. I cannot see the other typical debug features in the debug perspective such as run to cursor and set/remove break point. When I double click in the left margin which is typical to set a break point all eclipse does is try to set a bookmark.

Using the MSP430 tool chain in Eclipse now does not use or allow break points?
That would make it almost useless for debugging.
