SysML ball and socket notation for standard Ports? [message #1759997] Fri, 21 April 2017 01:26 Go to next message

I am using Papyrus Version: Neon (4.6.0) Build id: 2017-01-10T18:00:02Z and SysML 1.1.

Is it possible to display the provided and required interfaces for a standard port using the ball and socket notation (example below)?

I don't think so (neither I think it will be fixed any time soon, since no real development is going on for SysML 1.1 anymore, and the ball/socket notation is not part of SysML 1.4 anymore to my knowledge)

Actually it is not deprecated. It is only not mentioned anymore. FlowPorts are deprecated and everybody seems to think that this also applies to standardports.

The ball/socket notation is an UML notation. As SysML is an UML profile that notation implicitely is also part of SysML.

Well, SysML could have excluded UML-Interfaces, then the ball/socket notation would not be part of SysML. However they are explicitely included (see table 4.2 in SysML 1.5).
