Posting eclipse zips on maven repository [message #331797] Mon, 22 September 2008 14:54
Eclipse UserFriend
My company uses maven to construct an eclipse target platform for RCP
development. To facilitate this, we have deployed eclipse artifacts
(like the RCP-SDK, the delta pack, etc) to our maven repository. This
process is essentially putting the zip in a special directory with the
appropriate maven metadata files to make it easy to access.

Is it okay for this repository to be publically available? Are there
any legal restrictions to publishing eclipse zips as maven artifacts?

On those lines, has there been any discussion about making eclipse zips
officially available to maven user? For example, deploying them on the
central maven repository?

Thanks,
Will
