4DIAC: Copy-Paste FBs [message #1754097] Tue, 14 February 2017 08:57 Go to next message

Hello,
Can you make Paste function more useful?
When I select many Fbs and Copy I want to Paste FBs on other place of the document that Paste function does. Also Paste function loses focus on copied FBs and I can't move their on other place.
My offers :
1. Paste function doesn't lose focus on copied FBs.
2. Paste function will copy FBs on the cursor place.

Thanks

Hi,

thanks for your suggestion. Your request #1 has already been fixed in 1.9.0 Milestone 1. Please have a look on our Bugzilla list for planned and closed features and issues.

Regarding your second request I must confess I currently don't know how to do it? Because I would need a very individual position for each FB. This is especially true when the FBs to copy are not as nice aligned as yours. Suggestions are here very welcome.

Cheers,
Alois

Thanks for the link it is an interesting read. But I think I was not clear enough about my issue. The issue is if you have selected several FBs and want to copy them how is the target position of your right click defining the position for each of the selected fbs. However your question triggered an idea which I just pushed into the default branch. There I'm using the upper left corner of the bounding box of all selected FBs as reference point and use the mouse position as the new location of the bounding box. I did some first tests and it felt quite natural. Looking forward to your feedback if it meets your requirements.

Subapps are currently not supported in 1.9.0 as we are completely reworking the implementation of subapps. We plan to have a first version of the new subapplication implementation with 1.9.0 Milestone 2 which is planned for beginning of March.
