New Project java.lang.SecurityException [message #1751595] Wed, 11 January 2017 12:50 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
I've searched Google and these forums to find a fix with no luck.

I am trying to log into a server to create a new project in Eclipse with the TFS plug-in. I've tried to clear the keychain, reinstalled Eclipse a few times, and still nothing. What do I need to do to get this to build properly?

Message:
Secure storage was unable to retrieve the master password from the OS keyring. Make sure that this application has access to the OS keyring. If the error persists, the password recovery feature could be used, or secure storage can be deleted and re-created.

Error log:
java.lang.SecurityException: Could not obtain password. Result: -25300

You might try deleting (renaming) ~/.eclipse/org.eclipse.equinox.security/secure_storage so that a new secure storage is created with the right key chain access.

Thank you!

I went into the Secure Storage preferences, cleared the passwords, restarted Eclipse just to be sure, and I'm in!
