We have a java project someone made for us that opens in
eclipse though we are not able to get the thing to open
in eclipse at all , do you maybe have a step by step on how
to load an existing eclipse project into eclipse ?

I have not used eclipse before so not sure what I am doing wrong when I click the open project thing .
