Hi everybody,
I did not find any conversiton related my issue, so opened the question:
the phenomen:
Since I updated eclipse to Kelper or Luna I cannot start up it to use my xmanager on my Windos XP. I hoped to be fixed by updateing eclipse, but neon.2 shows the same problem.
The environment:
Eclipse installed on Linux (Debian wheezy, and jessie) with Gnome, also different eclipse states CDT, or Java with Luna or neon.2.
X-Window manager installed on Win-XP (32bit SP3), I tried XManager by netsharang or XMing from source forge.
The results are same -> I start a shell first as a simply user "Gabor" than I enter the start command for Eclipse in this terminal.
- When I'm using Linux its own graphical desktop to display terminal and eclipse, they are working fine.
- Alternatively I start the shell from XP by using putty-ssh, with X11 forwarding activated. In this case the IDE comes up as long as no editor window shall be displayed.
Once I want to open a source (e.g. a *.cpp file) for editing, the IDE disappears. Unfortunately I dont find any log file for eclipse, also I don't get any output in shell even by using -consoleLog argument in command line.
Not even Xming gives info about the reason of crashing. Additionally I tested more graphical applications starting simillary and displaying on XP. Not any trouble was observed.
Can anybody help me to get closer to the reason of the crash, or better give me a solution?
Thanks
Gábor
