I verified the checksum and the output is different from the public sha-512

Download file:
openssl dgst -sha512 eclipse-inst-mac64.tar
SHA512(eclipse-inst-mac64.tar)= 882d74a07145a1f18ba2dc3fd9ec08c5d582171713d7397eb19be882f07befa23d952fd9042d81e2ce789f8a6e8950bfcf50b81cc3a150a38206b1c8ab486956

I tried downloading multiple times from different mirrors and all are the same.

Should I trust the downloaded file?

You apparently ran the tool on the *.tar but the SHA of the website download is for the *.gz.
