im creating a model in stem in southern europe for the spread of zika. Does anybody have good ideas for possible parameters (such as solvers/diseases models etc). Thanks

Hi Tomm,

Thank you for your question on modeling Zika. I recently find a paper described a mathematical model for "Implication of vaccination against dengue for Zika outbreak" (http://www.nature.com/articles/srep35623). In Figure 2, they demonstrated a flowchart of Zika infection among humans. Please take a look and come back for more detailed discussion. I found other papers are more on the evaluation of the potential importation risk of zika from Brazil to EU.

If you are using STEM to build your model for the scenario of south EU. Please keep us posted about your progress. Many thanks!
