Hi,

Eclipse truly is an excellent IDE and because of this I have decided to create an AppImage for Eclipse (and requested that this project provide one officially https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=500802), which is a cross-distribution packaging format for Linux. In order to make it easy to maintain I would like to know if anyone knows a way to determine the latest version (e.g., neon for the latest release) of Eclipse from within a shell script. If you can at least provide me with a link that will always redirect to the latest 64-bit Linux tarball's download link I would be happy.

Thanks for your time,
Brenton
