I just filed an enhancement request with the wish "NamedElement names shall be configurable."
For details please refer to the ticket (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=506750).

I am curios, if I am the only user missing this feature.

Best regards
Carsten

Hi Carsten,

As said in comment of the dedicated bugzilla ticket, the next incoming version of Papyrus will include the support to the UML2 labels.
Each NamedElement can be translated to a given locale. Then, it will be possible to switch the global display of a project according to the locale chosen (impacts in Model Explorer / Diagrams / Table).
if a label is undefined, its name will be used. The feature activation as well as the locale change can be done directly from the Welcome page of the project.
