MacBook Pro with Touch Bar [message #1746433] Fri, 28 October 2016 11:28 Go to next message

I'm really not sure if the right place to post this.

I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas on how Eclipse should support handle the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

Here are some keyboard shortcut examples I can think of immediately that rely on function keys:

1) Debugging shortcuts (F8, etc)
2) Go to declaration (F3)
3) Next Editor/Next Perspective (F6, Command F8)
4) Refresh (F5)
5) Rename (F2)
6) Re-run (Command F11)
7) etc...

I suppose these could be worked around with new keymappings, but they will probably require tradeoffs with at least some other existing shortcuts.

Thoughts?

running or debugging is a very frequent thing, and the key combo sucks (command + shif+fn + f11)

Are you aware of Window -> Preferences -> General -> Keys?

Hi guys. My eclipse is configured is such way that I can't imagine any other handy shortcuts to be used with my keyboard.
