Just a quick question about the expected behaviour of the pop-up toolbars on the canvas. I believe that the desired behaviour is that hitting the Ctrl key will bring it up, then you can choose the shape.

However, for me, clicking on the canvas also flashes up this pop-up toolbar for a second or so, which is a little annoying as it seems to serve no purpose, since it cannot be clicked. Is this supposed to happen?

Hello,

This is not the expected behavior. For example, with an Ecore tools [1] diagram, it remains visible 2 or 3 seconds but if you move the cursor above it, it always remains visible.

On which kind of diagram do you have this problem?

You are right: it actually behaves in a nice way (thanks!) now that I figured out how it's supposed to behave:
- when you rest the mouse pointer in a location it briefly flashes (and you can then move the mouse to the appropriate element)
- when you click once, it appears (as you say).

I was clicking+holding where it stays visible when you are drawing a selection box, which I found a little confusing.
