Hi! I am looking forward to making some programs with Java for a living and I'm mostly using Linux Mint as my main OS. I have found that with Neon you have to do an installation and then create a menu entry. I have read two tutorials which vary a bit in instructions but most importantly, every tutorial I see is meant for Ubuntu. I would like some help setting up Eclipse Neon in LinuxMint 18. So far I have seen that you just run the installer and then create the menu launcher.

Also, I did some Java programs in College and I have tried to open them again with Eclipse but I have noticed that the classes are not longer in the src folder. These were done with Java 1.7 which I'm guessing might cause some problems. I would like to know how to access my Classes, since everything should still be intact there and how to avoid this in the future.

Thanks in advance.
