Viewpoint selection is empty with an XText DSL instance. [message #1738059] Fri, 15 July 2016 09:22 Go to next message

Hi all,

Using the last version of Sirius, I am trying to integrate an Xtext DSL with Sirius. More specifically, there is one part of meta-model instance that I would like to create using Sirius (table design).

The file-extension of my DSL is *.foo
The DSL instances files are of the form bar-1.0.0.foo

I do have a metamodel in my registry called foo.ecore I created two projects :
- foo.design that is a viewpoint specification project in which I configured the extension to be the same as the DSL one (foo)
- foo.model that is a modelling project containing a simple model (bar-1.0.0.foo)

Now the problem is that the view selection on the modelling project is empty. Whenever I had ecore in the list of supported extension and I had an ecore file to the modelling project then I can select the view.

At a certain point I got it working but honestly I do not know how. Deleting and starting over does not help.

Any clue on this?
thanks for your help

I got it working .... by renaming the DSL instance from bar1.0.0.foo to bar2.0.0.foo
It seems to be a problem with the detection of semantic resources but I cannot reproduce it.

Hello,

There was probably an issue when the model was initially added to the
session and that was updated correctly when you renamed the file. You
can tell us if you manage to reproduce.

Steve
