Hi,
I like the new Properties view support, but when validating I get lots
of errors concerning unknown variables, among others the value,
newValue, candidate and selection variables that are used when showing
and updating features.
Is this a known bug?

Yes, it's tracked by http://eclip.se/496014 and is currently planned for
Sirius 4.1, which will be released around October.
