Jubula on Headless [message #1734933] Mon, 13 June 2016 16:41 Go to next message

HI,

I found a library Cacio-tta to run the GUI tests for swing application in headless mode, but i am unable to launch the AUT in headless using Jubula client API. i assume its because of swingToolkit being set before the agent is connected to the AUT. And Java only allows to set the toolkit once, and it cannot be unloaded or unset.

To know more about Cacio-tta , search for ["how-to-use-cacio-tta-with-fest-for-java-gui-testing"] in google, as am not allowed to add link apart from eclipse.org

Any help or inputs to launch AUT in headless will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

Jubula has always been designed to run with a UI - our clicks and key events are done using a robot which actually clicks / sends text. I highly doubt that the current setup would allow a headless test to run.
The reason we set Jubula up this way is to ensure that the automated tests is as close to user interactions as we can get.

Hope that helps!
Alex
