Hi all,

I'm investigating a memory leak in my application. Thanks to MAT, I have been able to locate it and now I'm trying to fix it. The problem is that I make changes to my code, I restart the device, I restart the application, I generate a new dump but the dump is almost exact to the previous one. After running the application after hours to produce the memory leak I expect a very different dump after restarting the device and updating the application. At least, the number of leaked instances should be smaller. Even commenting the code that produces the leak, produces the same dump.

Am I missing something? What am I doing wrong?

The way I'm getting the dump is through "Android Studio -> Android Monitor", selecting the process, and clicking the "Dump HPROF file" button.

Thanks a lot for your help. I'm going crazy ...
