Do I need to Uninstall Tomcat 7 or just Delete it? [message #1733163] Tue, 24 May 2016 10:21 Go to next message

I downloaded Tomcat 7.0.54 and unzipped it. I does not work when I try to run it from Eclipse so I wanted to remove Tomcat from my Windows 7 pc and go back to the Apache site and get it again. However, I'm not sure whether I need to uninstall Tomcat or simply delete the directory and its contents. Tomcat does not show up when I look at the Programs and Features screen of Windows. So my question is do I need to get a 3rd party uninstaller to uninstall it? Or can I simply delete the directory contents to remove it? What would you recommend?

When you "unzipped" it, you in essence put it into your filesystem, but
nothing was installed in the Windows sense. You can simply removed it.
