Get the view resulting from the "Create Instance" instruction [message #1732563] Tue, 17 May 2016 22:23 Go to next message

Hello,

After having use the "Create Instance" instruction in the VSM I need to get the view resulting from the creation of this semantic object (My diagram is Synchronized).
I have tried everything but it seems that the view is only created after all the instructions on the created semantic element are done (the command new EObjectQuery(myobject).getInverseReferences(ViewpointPackage.Literals.DSEMANTIC_DECORATOR__TARGET) returns an empty array). The "create view" in is also not working (or maybe i've used it wrong).

Do you know if it is possible the get the view corresponding to the created semantic instance ?

Thank,
Alex.

Hi Alex,

The view is created after all the instructions defined in the VSM.
You can retrive it after all executions defined in the tool.

Thanks,

It means that inside the node creation tool it is not possible to retrieve the view of the created node using a java service or other technique ?

Hi,

You can create the view with the corresponding operation (Create View [1]).
