Eclipse Collections p2 update site [message #1730401] Mon, 25 April 2016 09:14 Go to next message

Hi,

I looked through your website and saw that you provide several ways of getting Eclipse Collections (Maven, Ivy, Gradle and simply download jar files).

Do you plan to provide an update site where Eclipse Collections versions will be available as OSGi bundles to be used in Eclipse projects through regular Manifest.mf dependencies?

Thanks!

Thanks for your suggestion!

We are happy to make that happen, but the project team lacks expertise creating update sites.

We need to take care of a known OSGi issue before creating an update site. Afterwards we'll need to be able to build update site.

If you're already familiar with these issues, we'd highly appreciate if you could contribute to the project. Please let us know if you're interested!

Thanks,
Hiroshi

We are tracking this as a part of GitHub issue: https://github.com/eclipse/eclipse-collections/issues/223

Feel free to vote on the issue on GitHub.

The known OSGi issues are fixed as a part of Release 8.1.0.

Hello,

I see this issue has been closed. Is there a public update site that we can use now? If so, an example for use via Tycho should be provided in a prominent location.
