Diagram Layouting Problem - Strange Behaviour, Nodes over Nodes... [message #1729988] Wed, 20 April 2016 12:50 Go to next message

Hi All,

I'm experiencing and strange behaviour on Sirius layouting.

I have a feature model, in which there are feature nodes each feature node can have other feature nodes as their children. Sometimes, these feature nodes can have OR relation ship, e.g. F14 ( OR( F18, F19) ).

The user is supposed to add an OR node under F14 and then add F18 and F19 as the OR node's children. What I'm trying to do is to automatically create F18 and F19 under the OR node so that alleviate the task of the user.

Attached image shows the behaviour that happens on the layout when I create the nodes semantically.

My guess is, since I am clicking on a particular location of the diagram to put my Or node, and then creating the semantics of F18 and F19 also with that Or node creation, it automatically places all those nodes on the same location.

So, what do you suggest ? Should get the location of the new nodes and set them accordingly ? and how ?

Hello Parsa Pourali,
I'm also having the same problem that you have. I'm also trying to customize the diagram layout though program but I'm not getting how do I do that. Please reply for the same if you find useful solution for this problem.

Thank You.
