Ericsson has joined as member the oneM2M Tester project, run jointly by oneM2M, the global standards initiative for Machine to Machine communication (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT), and ETSI. The aim of the project is to develop and publish conformance test suites for the IoT/M2M protocols and, in parallel, make available a free open source conformance test execution tool (this is called the oneM2M Tester). The test suites will be written in TTCN-3.
The oneM2M Tester will be used at the 2nd IoT interop event, to be held in Seongham, South Korea, 10-13 May 2016 (http://www.onem2m.org/news-events/news/95-onem2m-to-host-second-interoperability-event). The oneM2M Tester project, after investigating available TTCN-3 tools, has selected Eclipse Titan (https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.titan) as the base tool for the oneM2M Tester.
Ericsson's Test Competence Center in Budapest, Hungary, is cooperating with the oneM2M Tester project for some time now. Beyond providing support to use Eclipse Titan, Ericsson is also contributing the CoAP and MQTT protocol modules and codecs. These protocol supports available in Eclipse Titan's github area.
