I'd like to properly understand the scope of your question: Are you talking about consuming the JavaScript/CSS part of Scout? If so, then Scout is not ready for this scenario right now. At too many places we work with the assumption that you do have a UI server to talk to.

However, there are efforts underway that some of the JavaScript UI widgets may become consumable without the rest of the framework. But, this is work in very early stages and we are not currently committing to scope, functionality and schedule.

Thanks in advance for clarifying your question.

Hy Matthias,

we have application made with eclipse scout, but one part must be offline with synch on mobile/tablet.

For that reason we hoped that already exists in scout neon.

Now we decided to use Ionic Framework/sqlite for that part off application and to see how that works. Sync will be done with java servlet with communication to existed scout neon server services.

If you have better suggestion please let me now.

After test with Ionic Framework we will share our experience.

thanks you very much for your answer.

Ok, it seems that your requirements regarding offline functionality match (at least partly) with what we are considering for Scout*. But regarding scheduling you seem to be ahead of our current plans. As far as possible we will of course share our progress regarding Scout and offline in the future.

In the mean time: It would be great if you would be willing to share your experiences with Scout and the Ionic framework Smile

best regards

It's perhaps a step in the wrong direction, but the Mars release supports offline functionality well (provided you are able to run swing/swt applications on the tablet).
