This is actually really interesting. I also think I can guess why the northern indicator has the highest latent noise level readings. Wink

How long does the battery last? I don't see in the code that you are putting the Teensy on sleep mode. Am I missing something?

you are right. so far there isn't any sleeping in the code. battery time is probably a week point of the setup as the noise level measurement at is implemented now requires constant processing by the teensy lc.

regarding battery life time: did not really measure this. the expectation is that this will be some days at most. if you rather have months or years, i suspect that the device should not try to monitor anything by sampling but rather being interrupt driven that would wake the teensy up if some external condition is met.
