I hope I am missing a bigger picture, we are migrating to Git and discover that EGit can't merge renamed files correctly. If this is the case is anyone use Eclipse for merging? Am I missing something or does every one use the command line tool?

I think that this is the bug in question, how come it has not higher priority? It was submitted 2012.
