Working workspace for Jubula extension [message #1722057] Tue, 02 February 2016 09:25 Go to next message

Hello!

I have been trying to setup the workspace for Jubula in Eclipse for a long time according to the given developers manual. My main task is to integrate nebula widgets testing in the current jubula release. I've tried all possible iterations of the configurations of the target platforms but none seem to be working perfectly. Now I'm stuck with database issues and I'm not able to connect to the test database. I would request if anyone could provide me with a working workspace for extending the Jubula or provide me with the correct repo and targets as the one provided online seems to have a lot of issues. (org.eclipse.jubula.core from https://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/jubula/org.eclipse.jubula.core(master))

Thanks in advance!

Aayush

Oh and also I used the oomph installer for the workspace but it stopped midway due to missing files and thus I had to manually add the plugins.

Thanks for your question and leiitung us know about the oomph installer. I'm going to get one of the team to take a look at this, but it will be next week due to some holidays at the moment.

Best regards,
Alex

Hello Aayush,

I'd like to know what your intentions are. For me it sounds like you actually want to write an extension for Jubula. For that you do not need the Oomph installer which creates a full Jubula workspace.

If you actually need this, could you please describe what steps you executed in the Oomph installer and give us the error messages?

For writing custom extensions to Jubula we provide many examples in our repository. Did you take a look at them? To set up your workspace follow the steps described here [1].
Please let us know when you run into problems there and provide us with detailed error desriptions.

Best regards,
Sebastian
