Add menu items disabled within diagrams [message #1721566] Thu, 28 January 2016 05:50 Go to next message

Hello,

It seems that the "Add" menu items are now disabled in Class diagrams.

To reproduce this behaviour, it's quite simple:

1 Create a new Papyrus project with a new model in it and open it in Papyrus perspective.
2 Add a new class diagram to the model
    3 Right-clic in the diagram > "Add"
3 All the menu items (Text, Note, ...) are greyed

My environment:
Windows 7,
Eclipse Modeling bundle
Version: Mars.1 Release (4.5.1)
Build id: 20150924-1200
Payrus version: 1.1.2.201509161440

It seems this bevaviour is new as it doesn't happenn with old version (Luna)

So now my question:
Is there now some setup (Papyrus preferences, profiles to apply, ...) to get these feature or is it simply a regression ?
Maybe could you provide me workaround ?

Many Thanks

Hi Thierry,

I would advise you to install latest official release from Papyrus (Papyrus 1.1.3) from the following website: http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/papyrus/updates/releases/mars

The other component to be install is the Graphical Modeling Framework SDK component, as all these additional shapes come from GMF runtime, they are not implemented in Papyrus itself.

Then, by default, the menu shoud be there and not greyed out. There are no specific options to configure.

Can you give it a try and tell me if that fixed your issue?

Regards,
Rémi
