Will any of the upcoming changes to Java and Firefox affect RAP functionality? In other words, does RAP rely on Java plugins in browsers and/or applets in Java?

Item 1: The Java Plugin will be removed from Java 7 after July 2016

Oracle have made changes to their support policies which mean that the browser plugin will be removed from Java 7 after their July 2016 release.

Item 2: Java plugin support will be removed from Firefox by the end of 2016

Mozilla plans to remove Firefox's support for NPAPI plugins by the end of 2016. This will prevent applets from running on Firefox.

Hi,
the RAP client is pure JS and doesn't rely on any browser plug-in. I
don't think that these changes will affect RAP in any way.
