Hello,

i've spent a good amount of time looking for some answers but i got lost, im new in M2M techniques and trying to transfer UML model into CPN.
what i did for now is:
- i define the UML metamodel for my case as an Ecore class digram and the xmi file is generated automatically while i was creating the meta-model.

i want the user to define his problem using UML instance from the defined meta-model. another thing i want the user to be able to do is defining his problem using XML file, so i need to define an XML schema to create instances from it

is this possible? to have 2 options in the source file?
if it is, how can i define the XML schema?

Thank you,

You can generate a metamodel from an XSD, but you cannot add an XSD to an existing metamodel. Instances of such a generated metamodel will be XML files, not XMI.

Cheers,
Dennis
