Hi,

in previous releases (3.3 and beyond) the Eclipse distributions used to
contain an icon, which could be used to create custom launchers for Gnome
or KDE under Linux. (Under Windows, the same icon is automatically part of
eclipse.exe.)

I am not sure since when, but I believe it is since the change to the
Eclipse P2 builds, this icon is no longer present. At least, I do not find
it.

Can anyone tell me whether that's intentional? Are there existing bug
reports requesting to add it to the distributions again?

Thanks,

Jochen
