Hi

I was looking into the code for Oomph and found 2 plugins related to GIT
org.eclipse.oomph.gitbash
org.eclipse.oomph.setup.git

Where is gitbash being used ? I did findout how setup.git is being used to load the egit.ui project and load the configured repositories into eclipse etc. Is gitbash being used for cloning and pulling.

If so how is it working without a gitbash installation on my location machine. Coz looking into the code i realised you are checking for a git-bash.txt in the stateLocation otherwise using a default location to access the gitbash.exe.

Looking for more information on the same.

Regards
Malai

The Oomph GitBash plugin is a small standalone tool, mostly from times where EGit wasn't stable enough or missed some
functionality. It's not related to Oomph Setup at all. The latter uses EGit/JGit.
