Eclipse crashes when trying to run program. Windows 10 [message #1712171]

I recently upgraded to WIndows 10 and had was working on a C++ project before on Windows 7 where everything was fine. Upon upgrading to 10 I had to download g++ again through MinGW.

I set everything up, built my project and hit run; Eclipse starts compiling and I can see the messages on the console but then of all a sudden it just says that the program has stopped working. There are no error messages at all.

I tried this with Eclipse Luna, then I downloaded the latest version of Eclipse Mars but the problem persisted. I've searched online but I couldn't find anything useful.

Is anymore information required to solve this problem?
