For some reason Eclipse Mars will not open, at all.

If I click the icon on my task-bar, nothing happens. It doesn't even prompt me to select my workspace. I tried running it as an administrator and the same thing happened.

I can't find any reason as to why this would happen since it was working 100% perfectly last night and I did not install any new software or make any modifications to my computer since then.

Any bit of help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Very hard to guess what platform, where you put Eclipse, etc.

Shaun,

Does your eclipse.ini have a -vm option? The Oracle Java updater (maybe
you have that set to auto-update?) has a nasty habit of deleting your
old install folder and creating a new one because the folder name
includes the version number; this breaks any -vm option you might have
pointing at the old one.
