Shaun,
Does your eclipse.ini have a -vm option? The Oracle Java updater (maybe
you have that set to auto-update?) has a nasty habit of deleting your
old install folder and creating a new one because the folder name
includes the version number; this breaks any -vm option you might have
pointing at the old one.
