Hi

I did like your idea of the installer. I am now creating a custom setup file for download and install a few plugins and features in eclipse. I was wondering if i can change the splash screen from the .setup file itself instead of doing the conventional .product way.

I dnt mind the window icon, i am interested in just changing the splash screen. This would help in building custom standard IDEs that we can roleout in our organisation.

Yes, you should report setup-specific problems to the maintainer of that
setup.

Malai,

The splash screen is defined by our "installer product". You'd need to
build your own installer product for a different splash screen. The
installer is generally designed to be able to install many different
Eclipse-based products...
