I was using the latest Oomph Eclipse Installer and selected Eclipse Modeling Tools along with EGit using the advanced Installer and after Mars Launched and the scripts of checkout was executed i got this error

ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=0 Software being installed: artificial_root 1.0.0.v1441935762858
ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=0 Missing requirement: Git Team Provider Core Test Plug-in 4.1.0.v20150911-071213 (org.eclipse.egit.core.test 4.1.0.v20150911-071213) requires 'package org.eclipse.jgit.lib [4.1.0,4.2.0)' but it could not be found
ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=1 Cannot satisfy dependency:
ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=0 From: artificial_root 1.0.0.v1441935762858
ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director code=0 To: org.eclipse.egit.core.test 0.0.0

And the process stopped. Once i checked the GIT Perspective, everthing was checkedout but couldnt be imported. Then i manually imported the projects into workspace and i hit with compilation error in every possible class.

It this a BUG or some issue with the EGit Update Site

What Target Platform did you select on the Variables page of the installer?

This is most likely a problem in the EGit.setup model, but let's first see what choices you selected so that I can try
to reproduce...

Cheers

Hi Eike

I think there is a problem in the egit.setup. I tried in many other settings but it failed due to some dependancies between egit and jgit. Should i report this on EGIT Forum ?
