invalid profile [message #1707476] Sat, 05 September 2015 00:43 Go to next message

With Eclipse Luna I did a smal UML profile, up to version 0.0.3.
Now I installed Mars and Papyrus 1.1.
When I change and try to save that profile I am asked to define it in order to use its stereotypes and tags with other models.
Clicking "Yes" and accepting the following dialog "information about new definition" I get the message: "The profile cannot be defined because it is invalid".

Question: What exactly has found to be invalid by Papyrus 1.1?
Has Papyrus 1.1 something justified as being invalied that was not found with older version?
Has Papyrus 1.1 identified the representation as being incompatible?
Is the storage of my profile damaged?

In the last case I could enter it new.
However this would not help if the first reason is true.

Need some indication about the reason of that failure message.

Hi Rolf,

When defining a profile, a validation step occurs before and after the definition, to avoid deploying invalid profiles. However, if errors are detected, the details of each error should be displayed in the dialog (Under a "Details..." button). Is there any additional info in the Error Log view?

Regards,
Camille
