Setting spaces instead of tabs for RCPTT editor [message #1707361]

I can't seem to find any other option about this aside from General --> Editors --> Text Editors -> Insert spaces for tabs. I already set this and when I highlight a piece of code and do a tab or CTRL+F, tabs are still used instead of spaces.

Is this a missing feature? Will it be always tab instead of spaces in the RCPTT editor?

Does this option works well for you in simple Java Editor?
Because I can't make it work. Could you please give some steps to reproduce?

I don't quite get what you mean? Are you saying if I can set spaces instead of tabs for a Java Editor?

Regarding reproducing the steps, the steps are.
1. Type your code, do your own formatting by maybe indenting using spaces.
2. Do a CTRL+F, all the indentation that were previously spaces are now tabs.

Hi Karl,

I've just re-checked this in RCPTT editor and that's how it is working for me now:

1) When the option "Insert spaces for tabs" in enabled, 4 spaces are inserted when you press Tab button;
2) When the option is disabled tab is inserted when you press Tab button.

After the formatting all 4-spaces are replaced with tabs.
Does it work the same on your side?
